Captiva Rendezvous 2013 – Wrap Up
We’ve just returned from our annual Captiva Rendezvous at the South Seas Resort and Plantation, co-hosted with Marina Jack. This is always a fun time and a great opportunity to turn our clients into our friends through a little quality time on the water!
Senior Partner, Gary Smith and Event and Marketing Coordinator, Christina Smith had a smooth cruise down to the South Seas Marina on the new 40′ Windsor Craft, the host boat for the weekend.
The Rendezvous was held a few weeks later than previous years which resulted in a mainly local community of boaters and a smaller, more intimate atmosphere (as many “snowbirds” have migrated home). Some guests have made this weekend a tradition, making it their 3, 4, or 5 Rendezvous with us and some were attending for the first time. Everyone mixed well and the welcome dinner on the docks was fantastic! After dinner, we had a few night-owls who ventured to Tween Waters with us for some live music.
The tone of the Rendezvous is always very laid-back and everyone seemed to have one agenda: to relax. With the rest of the weekend’s activities to include white beaches, lagoon-style pools, kayaking and dock parties, we hope everyone cruised home feeling rested and refreshed!
Overall, (and as always) the weather was perfect, the resort was beautiful and the company was great. We can’t wait to do it again next summer. Thank you to all our guests for spending the weekend with us. From the feedback we’ve received, it seems a great time was had by all. We hope to see you at our Vinoy Rendezvous in St. Petersburg later this year.
“Please extend a sincere thank you from the crew of Island Fever to all at Sarasota Yacht and Ship who worked so hard to put together another wonderful cruise. Pretty hard to beat hanging out with a bunch of fellow boaters at a beautiful resort on a beautiful weekend“ -Walter & Heather Smith, “Island Fever”
